Los Angeles police suspect rapper Snoop Dogg is still a member of the city’s notorious Crips street gang. Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus, was released from police custody after marijuana, cocaine and a firearm were allegedly found in a false compartment in his car. Dogg had been taping a guest spot on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ when he was stopped by Burbank police as he left the building. Officers were waiting with warrants to search him, his vehicle and his home in Diamond Bar, California. The warrants stem from his arrest last month at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, where he was arrested on weapons and drugs charges.A police spokesman confirms cops believe he is still a Crips member. Sergeant Kevin Grandalski, says, “Information developed during this investigation confirmed that Mr. Broadus is both a convicted felon and an admitted ‘Rollin’ 20s Crips’ criminal street gang member who continues to associate with other Crips criminal street gang members.”"Mr. Broadus was arrested again for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and for transportation of marijuana. In addition he was arrested for possession of a false compartment in his vehicle and for possession of cocaine.” Dogg posted $60,000 bail and had no comment as he walked out of the Burbank Police Department. He will face charges for Tuesday’s arrest in January. He will also appear in court next month for his arrest at the Burbank airport in October.

Jimmy Buffett has settled his trademark infringement lawsuit against an online merchandise retailer who has agreed to stop selling items bearing his Margaritaville brand. Buffett, who was protecting his trademarked hit “Margaritaville,” accused Robert Akard of selling T-shirts, CDs and other memorabilia over the internet without his permission. Earlier this month, U.S. District Judge Sam Kent ordered Akard to shut down his website, pending the outcome of Buffett’s lawsuit and to account for how much money had been made from online sales. The judge found Akard in violation of the restraining order, cited him for contempt of court and threw him in jail, according to Erin Powers, a spokesman for Buffett’s lawyer. A few hours later, Akard reached an out-of-court settlement with Buffett, in which he promised not to sell Buffett-labelled items in the future. The judge then allowed Akard to reopen his website, where he sells beach-themed merchandise.

Snoop and two members of his entourage were arrested after a search of his home and car, Sgt. According to a source, Spears wants to move back to town instead of living in the celebrity beachside suburb of Malibu and is looking for a new home in the $7 million range. After she finds a home she wants to buy, Spears is expected to officially put her Malibu property, where she has been living with Federline since 2004, on the market. Spears purchased the eight-bedroom home for nearly $6.9 million. The gated property has been described as a “mini-resort” and features a tennis court, pool, spa, gym, gardens and outdoor kitchen.
