Madonna and her husband of eight years, Guy Ritchie, have been granted a divorce by a British court.The case of “Ciccone M.L. v Ritchie G.S.” was granted by Judge Caroline Reid in a hearing that lasted just a few minutes.Papers signed by another judge and released by the court said Madonna petitioned for divorce on the basis of Ritchie’s “unreasonable behavior,” but did not elaborate. The judge ruled that he did not need to apply family law in the case. He has accepted an agreement reached by the couple over their assets and children.The divorce can become final after six weeks and a day.British news media reported that the couple had reached a settlement that Madonna will keep the majority of her estimated $445 million fortune and share custody with Ritchie of their two children.Madonna has a daughter from a previous relationship with personal trainer Carlos Leon. A woman has been placed on three years of probation following her guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of stalking Sandra Bullock.A felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon was dropped against Marcia Valentine after she entered her guilty plea to stalking according to the Orange County Superior Court.Bullock obtained a restraining order in May 2007 barring Valentine from contacting her or coming near her home, family or work for three years. Bullock testified in court that on five occasions Valentine left in her yard palm fronds adorned with "weird signs" and "pieces of animal fur."Bullock testified that after Valentine was spotted April 22, 2007, outside her home in Sunset Beach, her husband, Jesse James, went outside and tried to write down the woman’s license plate.Bullock said Valentine screamed obscenities and twice tried to run over James with her silver Mercedes-Benz. James, host of TV’s "Monster Garage," was not hurt.Valentine was arrested the next day by sheriff’s deputies while driving in the area.
