Rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Deandre Conway, has been arrested in Dallas. He faces charges of capital murder for the 2020 killing of fellow rapper Mo3. Court documents show that Beezy, 33, allegedly hired a hitman named Kewon Dontrell White to kill Mo3, whose real name was Melvin Noble. Beezy reportedly paid White for the crime. White has also been arrested in connection to the murder.
The shooting happened on November 11, 2020. Mo3 was chased on foot and fatally shot on a Dallas highway. Under Texas law, capital murder with payment—called “remuneration”—is a very serious crime. If convicted, Beezy could face life in prison without parole or even the death penalty.
The arrest of Yella Beezy came just two days after a grand jury charged him with felony murder in the death of Mo3. The rapper, whose real name is Melvin Noble, was shot and killed during a shocking midday shooting on a Dallas highway in 2020.
On Tuesday, the grand jury indicted Beezy on a charge of “capital murder while remuneration.” The indictment claims that Beezy “intentionally and knowingly” played a role in Noble’s death by hiring Kewon White to carry out the killing. Prosecutors allege that Beezy provided White with financial compensation and the “promise of remuneration” for the murder.
Authorities believe Beezy was directly involved in planning the crime. Kewon White, who was previously arrested in connection to Noble’s killing, is also in jail. This new indictment suggests prosecutors are building a strong case against Beezy, linking him to the murder.
Under Texas law, capital murder with remuneration is a first-degree felony. If convicted, Beezy could face life imprisonment without parole or even the death penalty. The charges were officially filed on March 18, 2025, in Dallas County.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the high-profile nature of both rappers. Beezy and Mo3 had a long-standing feud, marked by diss tracks and social media clashes.
